Birch Cafe

2023/2024

An interior design and bespoke fit-out project for Birch Cafe in Portree, creating a corner bench that complements the café's calm, minimalist aesthetic. Recognised as one of the Top 100 Cafés in the World, Birch's clean, contemporary identity provided the inspiration for every design decision.

Crafted from natural timber, the built-in corner bench was designed to maximise seating while maintaining the clean, understated character of the space. Integrated storage beneath the seating provides practical functionality without compromising the simplicity of the design, making efficient use of every square metre. The result is a warm, durable, and timeless addition that sits naturally within the Birch brand.

“The meticulous approach to their work and attention to detail is second to none. From functionality to the design, everything is well thought through and carefully considered.” Neil Munro, Birch
